eSearch v3.2 Service Pack 2 - Released 16th May 2008
Iron Mountain are pleased to announce the immediate release of v3.2 Service Pack 2 - continuing the trend of improving quality and usability since the previous release.
This smaller update includes nearly 30 further quality improvements to eSearch 3.2 since Service Pack 1.
Headline benefits in this Service Pack include improvements to the following areas:
- Performance improvements regarding:
- logging in when the system contains a huge number of physical items
- searching involving hierarchy fields
- Improvements to reporting, in various aspects
- Various other improvements to searching, usability,and documentation

Registered users can now login and download 3.2 Service Pack 2 from the Support Knowledge Base.
The next release of eSearch shall be version 3.3 in Q4, 2008.
eSearch v3.2 Service Pack 1 - Released 8th February 2008
Iron Mountain are pleased to announce the immediate release of v3.2 Service Pack 1 - continuing the trend of improving quality and usability since the previous release.
This update includes about 50 quality improvements and 25 enhancements to eSearch 3.2 in the first three months since the v3.2 base release.
Headline benefits in this Service Pack include improvements to the following areas:
- Performance - significant improvements to memory resource management
- Reporting - new 'Productivity' system audit report
- Usability - web application now more intuitive to use
- Data Loading - include Physical Item Attributes as unique record match for updating Attachments
- Bulk Edit - 'execute immediately' option corrected to submit the job instantaneously
- Localisation - locale token files now easier to translate

eSearch v3.2 - Released 31st October 2007
Iron Mountain continues to combine flexibility, power and ease of use with the next major release of eSearch.
Version 3.2 includes many new features designed to make managing your assets and electronic documents easier and more efficient, such as the following:
- Centralised report generation - generate, save and recall reports with charting capabilities, including system audit reports
- Retention Event management - import external events and apply retention simply by changing values in fields
- Customize the appearance of eSearch with a company logo and a chosen colour scheme
- Consistent right-click menu to select, copy & paste from all data lists & search results in Desktop & Web applications
- Search for Physical attributes in Find It Fast
- Refine the Query of a Multi-Level Search
- Data Loader support for Coding into Parent/Child Datatypes
- Easily add new language packs to eSearch deployments
- Technology update - eSearch now supports Oracle 10.2 and RedHat Linux
Additional optional extras for v3.2:
- Integration with Microsoft Active Directory - use Windows user accounts to access eSearch

eSearch v3.1 Service Pack 3 - Released June 2007
Iron Mountain are pleased to announce the immediate release of v3.1 Service Pack 3 - a further improvement to the latest release of eSearch, and the terminal update for v3.1.
Over 200 further fixes are included, completing 800 improvements to eSearch 3.1 in the last 8 months.
The following new enhancements are also provided in Service Pack 3:
- Re-introduction of Field Hints
- Licensing module now supports quorum arrangements of licence servers
- Significant performance improvements to:
- searching for more than one value from a multiple field
- multi-level searches in Relational mode
- searching with queries on hierarchy criteria
- Usability improvements to relational features such as Element Linking
- Batch References of submitted batches now included in Job Submission confirmation message in Data Loader
- All levels of datatype path now shown in Data Loader when choosing batches to upload or amend
eSearch v3.1 Service Pack 2 - Released March 2007
Iron Mountain announced the release of Service Pack 2 for eSearch 3.1, in March 2007.
Over 400 quality improvements have been included, further to the 200 in the previous service pack.
Also the following new enhancements are provided in Service Pack 2:
- Web client support for additional browsers: IE 6, IE 7 (Windows), Firefox 2 (Windows and MacOS)
- Improved usability of Web client, with improved style and behaviour more consistent with the Desktop application
- Find It Fast now supports wildcards in the search term
- Data Loader now provides ability to amend multiple field values in Update Wizard
- Data Loader now provides ability to update a different field to the search field, in Update Wizard
- Full list of query match types now supported for hierarchy fields in datatype query form
- Improved performance of multi-level searches
- Improved format of On-line Help and User Guides
Now Available: new improved Support Knowledge Base (released March 2007)
The eSearch Support Knowledge Base has been redesigned with significant improvements, and is now available for all registered users.
This dynamic application has a rich user experience making it far easier to find and download information and material for eSearch.
With this tool, you can find out the latest status of logged issues, or read and print out FAQ answers and helpful advice on using, installing and supporting eSearch.

eSearch v3.1 Service Pack 1 - Released December 2006
Iron Mountain are pleased to announce the immediate availability of Service Pack 1 for eSearch 3.1.
Nearly 200 quality improvements are included, in addition to the following minor enhancements:
- Record Count added to search results in Web application
- Lookup list of values added to the operation of mapping a Record Series to a Datatype (Retention module)
- Maximise and Minimise actions added to Full Record Detail page in Web application
- Improved Manage Attachments screen provides easier ways to find attachments to be linked to a record (in Desktop and Web)
- Clearer presentation of Multiple Value fields in search results on Web application
