The development of the eSearch application is fully compliant in:

eSearch is also compliant with DoD Directive 5015.2 (Design Criteria Standard for Electronic Records Management Software Applications).
Also eSearch is audited as part of an Application Security Assessment process conducted by a third party application security assessment vendor, which includes penetration and vulnerability testing.

eSearch is a sophisticated piece of software, providing indexing, searching and ordering functionality. Information can be indexed in a number of ways offering a flexible approach that means different types of information assets can be indexed in a variety of ways to suit the characteristics of the information. eSearch can look for information in different ways via a single user interface, which may either be a web based browser or a desktop client graphical application. By using eSearch a user can access physical information stored with Iron Mountain, physical information stored with other third party suppliers, and physical information held on their own site. eSearch can also provide a portal into users digital information, enabling access to any image archive and on-line databases that are indexed via eSearch. eSearch has the ability to accurately index all the information that the user needs to access via the portal. The index can either be entered on-line or imported from a third party source. eSearch enables an organisation to 'virtually' integrate their information sources and search and access that information via a single user interface.

The development of eSearch was driven by the historical success of the Hays OpenRSO product, which has been widely accepted within the energy sector as a comprehensive asset management solution.

From version 2.0 onwards, eSearch has been a production of the Iron Mountain partnership with SIS, combining the power of OpenRSO with the functionality of AssetDB.

eSearch is an open, flexible system and can readily integrate to any in-house or third party system through a published industry standard API.
