SUPPORTED VERSIONS
eSearch v3.1 and v3.2 are currently supported, including all Service Packs for these versions.
All versions prior to v3.1 are not supported by Iron Mountain.
DE-SUPPORT NOTICE
As per our support policy, and previous notifications on this website, Iron Mountain hereby announce that support for version 3.0 has already expired.
We strongly recommend all users of v3.0 now upgrade to version 3.2.
New Features in eSearch Version 2.6
Version 2.6 was released in September 2004.
The current release of eSearch is Version 3.2, which is now commercially available for new installations and upgrades. Please contact your account manager at Iron Mountain or Schlumberger Information Solutions (SIS) to obtain your software.
Customers are advised that eSearch v2.6 is no longer supported.
Version 2.6 at a glance
The following functionality is additional to that provided in earlier eSearch releases.
- Installation Option to choose which 'edition' of eSearch to install
- Data Loading Wizard - easy to use interface for importing many complex data relationships. Includes detailed statistical summary report
- Enhanced Web Application supporting the same linked data structures as the Desktop interface
- Physical Item Search - browse and query on physical item attributes
- Page Management in all summary search results - jump to any part of the results set
- Introduction of Element Fields for configuring mandatory and multiple links from meta-data to Elements
- Automatic Display of Related Data - see all linked records appear in the relational summary view
- Cascade and Merge Updates to Validation Values - all records using the altered value are automatically updated
- Wildcard Search in Lookup Value Lists - adds a wildcard search to the previous stem search facility
- Display Options for Data Entry - a new user preference to choose how he data attributes are presented
- Automatic use of correct Delivery Destination - based on mapping to a level in the Location Hierarchy
- Introduction of Password Expiration - configure the duration and cache size of previous eSearch passwords
